Some New Words

Some new words that I learned from reading a book called the Thirteenth Reality By James Dashner. Some of these words are ENTROPY witch means a measure of the randomness of the microscopic constituents of a thermodynamic system. Isn’t that cool? Another word that made me laugh was DAD GUM, it’s used as an intensive to express mild annoyance. That just cracked me up. I thought that was one of the funniest words in the entire book. Well these are just some of the cool and funny words in this book. The good thing is these are the only two words that were new to me in the whole book so I understood it really well.

My Thoughts on the new iPhone 3G S

The new iphone 3G S, is  a very interesting phone. It has some new features and is also has a very stylish look that can be used by both man and women.

Some of the new features are that there is now a digital compass. It is very interesting the way it works. When you change the direction of the phone it will automatically turn the needle and point to the new direction. you can also choose weather to use true north or magnetic north. Now because of the compass, the maps on the phone will keep updating on which direction you are heading and what you have finished. Much much more easier with this built in digital compass.

Another new feature that the iphone has is that now there is cut copy and paste. This will allow you to copy something from the internet and then paste it in to an email or even a text or mms. This feature is very very useful.

A good feature that the iphone 3G S has is that there is now a video camera and a still picture camera. And now there are 2 mega pixels in the camera. It is also very simple to send and also edit the graphics that you take. You can also see the photos that you have taken recently very simply too.

Now the iphone 3G S has something that I truly love the most. The speedy voice control. This allows you to call someone that is in you address book just by saying their name. You can also call people by saying there phone number. Another thing that you can use the voice control for is the built in ipod. you can say the names of the songs or you can tell the phone to play the favorites play list or some album that you would like to listen to. If you hear a song that you really like but you have forgotten what it was, you could ask the phone what it is. You can also make genius play lists which are also very nice.

How Do You Make Forms with Excel ??????

Did you know that you could make forms on Microsoft Excel. Regular forms or anything. All you need to do is make a macro. Macro is a language that you can use to write a program. Now different types of forms are also different types of forms are also different types of programs. It is very easy to do. Go into the Macro option, then click on Visual Basic and you can create anything that you want. You can even add some drop downs which are called combo boxes, and even list boxes. So if you didn’t know that, now you do.

Harry Potter and the Half blood Prince

New movie. Do you know what it is. Do you know what is coming your way.  A magical adventure. HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE! Harry Potter fans the waiting is almost over. The sixth movie of harry potter will be coming out on July 15 and it will be fantastic. There will be new spells, new scenery, and much more. There will be some happy parts some funny parts some scary parts and some serious parts. What Do You Call People That Are Good With Both of Their Hands

Now most of us in this country are right handed. But some of us like myself can write with both hands. What is this called? Ambidextrous. The word is made of two different words. Ambi is the prefix, it means two or both. In this case, both of your hands. Dextrous the suffix means skillful in the use of hands or body. So now when you put the two words together to make one word, it becomes Ambidextrous. Being able to use both of your hands skillfully and usefully without having any trouble.

Hinduisum The Indian Culture

Hinduisum is a very complex culture. One of the most complex methods of the Hindus is the casts. There are 4 casts in Hinduisum. The 4 are Brahmins, Kshrathiya, Vishya, and Shudra. The Brahmins are the ones that are the teaches and the priests. They teach all the Hindus and they are the most knowable people. Kshrathiyas are the people that rule the whole place and protect the area from bad people like terrorists. Vishyas are the business people. They are the ones who sell and trade things. Now the Shudras are the once that clean and do dirty work like washing the clothes and all that stuff. Now the Brahmins went to the extreme with these rules and they all changed the rules. They said that if any Brahmin wanted to marry someone it had to be a Brahmin that you would marry. Then there was another rule where if you touched a Shudra you would become an outcast or they would actually hang you and kill you. Then in 1947 laws passed in India so they could make discrimination Shudras illegal. But still now the cast system remains and important  part of family and social life.

Science is cool!

Ever wonder why Norway is called the Land of Midnight Sun? Well now you can get that of your chest.  Since Norway has high latitude, there are large seasonal variations in daylight. Seasonal variations in daylight means the changing of the weather during a day through all the seasons. In late May and late July the sun never sinks into the horizon. There for that is why Norway is called the Land Of Midnight sun. Now because of this the rest of the world has over 20 hours of sunlight. Then in mid winter the sun does not rise at all sometimes and they have very less daylight hours.

Why is there day and night. What causes day and night? Well because the Earth is spinning it faces the sun and the moon one time. In one day there are twenty four hours, and in 24 hours the Earth spins in one circle. In one circle the entire world gets sunlight and moonlight. Isn’t that amazing?

What is a candel? What is it made of? Well now you know. A candel is just a glass that is filled with scented wax. When you light the the candel, the wax starts to melt. There for the scent is released and the air smells good. Science is really cool. We keep learning knew things about it every day and we still have a lot to learn. So keep learning!!!!!

The Wonderful Olympic Opening Ceramony!!!

The Olympic Opening Ceremony was one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen in my life.With all the colors and dancing, it was an amazing sight to see. All those drums playing the same thing and not missing one single beat. It must have taken a lot of practice for all those people to do that. The reporter said that there were 2,008 people on the drums. Many people had to practice hard because most of them were on the trapeze and they were very good. Did you ever wonder why they put 5 rings to represent the Olympics? Well now you know. The 5 rings represent the 5 continents, they are Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe & America. North and South America are put together.

The Olympic torch was wonderful. A man who won a gold medal for China lit the torch. It was amazing. As soon as he lit the rope, boom it got bigger and bigger than it went straight into the huge torch. It was beautiful. Now I would say that everything was very good but I also will have to say that in my opinion the torch lighting was one of the most magnificent things that has ever happened in the world. So now let us all find out what will happen in the Olympic games!!!!

The Karate Kid HIYA!!!!!

Karate Kid was a very nice and thrilling movie.It was filled with  a lot of action.Daniel the kid who learned Karate was at first very sad and angry.His mom got a job in California and he had to move there.He had to leave behind all of his friends.Then as soon as he got to California, he had an arch enemy. He got beaten up several times. Then the caretaker of his apartment complex saw him getting beaten up and helped him out a little bit.

The caretaker trained him and showed him the art of Karate.Then he went to the bullies and talked to them and said that they would all go to the Karate Tournament and then if Daniel won they would never try to bully him again. Daniel trained harder and harder day by day. After all the hard work and training that Daniel went through, he got a gift on his birthday. After earning his drivers licence and everything. Daniel’s sence gifted him one of the old cars that he had kept. The car was a yellow convertible and looked really cool.

Then when the tournament started Daniel was losing and winning. It was amazing the way that he fought. And in the end after all the pain, training and hard work he went through, he won the amazing trophy and the tournament first prize!! I was so happy that he won and I have to say that he worked really hard and got what he wanted. This movie also thought me something that I never understood, that with fierce determination anything is possible. So watch this movie and I hope you will learn the same thing and also something different.

Did you ever wonder how a GPS works?(GPS stands for Global Ppositioning System.)Well now you can get that of your chest.There satellites that are circling our Earth that are transiting longitude and latitude or you could say exact coordinates of where it is supposed to go.Isn’t that amazing?Well I think it is very cool and very interesting.

Did you ever know what elements of a periodic table were.Well I know and now you will know.A Periodic Table lists many elements.Elements are the number of pro tans and electrons that are inside any kind of atom.An atom is located inside an element.Inside an atom is a nucleus.The nucleus contains the pro tans and electrons of the atom.Now pro tans are the weight of an element.Or it is called the atomic weight of an element.COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!

So now you know what an element is and how a Global Positioning System works.All this stuff is really cool.I wonder what other cool stuff Science has to offer us.Well I learned that asking questions is the way to find out about everything.
